It was filled with Iranian technology, and had an engine part stamped with the markings of Irish company Tillotson, whose company website homepage states it makes carburettors for unmanned aircraft. Under UN and European Union regulations, knowingly supplying military technology to either Iran or Sudan is illegal. But John Mason, Tillotson managing director, says his company complies with regulations and has no involvement in onward sales by his clients. He adds, ‘We have no sales on record to a company called Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Co or anything similar.
