Aerovironment, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon win contracts

A busy month, May 29th defense contracts more than 55 million dollars entering the industry. Aerovironment, Monrovia, Calif., was awarded a $15,813,405 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure Raven Digital Data Link Gimball Systems and initial spares packages with Vampire simulator.  Work will be performed in Simi Valley, Calif., with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-11-C-0055). Raytheon Co., Missile Systems, Tucson, Ariz., was awarded an $8,168,950 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure Griffin stand-off precision guided munitions and engineering services support.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2012.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-10-C-0239).
